RETREATS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW IS THE PRICE DETERMINED?
You will communicate to us the following information:
Dates of the Retreat
Approximate number of rooms to be blocked
Number of Excursions
Any other special needs
and we will bid out the dates to the nine resorts that we deal with for the best available price for those dates; we already know the costs of the excursions, transportation, dining, etc. We can then provide you with a per person cost based on the room type (single, double, triple, suite).
The final price is set by you.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT SEASONS AND DO THEY AFFECT THE PRICING?
Yes; High Season would be from mid-November through mid-April, Select Season would be from mid-April through mid-June and early October through mid-November and Low Season is from mid-June through September.
April, May, June. October & November will offer you the best weather and overall experience for the total cost.
HOW DO MY CLIENTS PAY FOR THE RETREAT?
This is up to you; we can set up a secured payment page on our website for your clients to pay directly (we use STRIPE payment processing) or we are fine with you collecting all funds and you can actually pay the resort on a contracted schedule so that your clients can pay you in more than one payment option, we would require final payment 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival and you would simply retain your commission.

DO YOU OFFER A MORE PRIVATE SETTING AS OPPOSED TO A RESORT?

Yes, we have actually completed more than 20 retreats at a private estate setting and also boutique hotels where we will rent the entire property for the retreat. These options would include private housekeeping, security and chef's included in the pricing and it is usually about $500 more per person.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY RESORT LODGING?
Yes, if you reserve 31 or more rooms we will pay for your room or provide you with one upgrade to a suite (your choice).
HOW WILL YOUR STAFF ASSIST US DURING OUR EVENT?
We want you to think of our staff as your staff. We have a full-time staff of 12 and based on the size of your event we will assign staff to be physically on-site at the resort and assist you in any way needed. They will attend your sessions and can assist in videoing. They will be available in the lobby of the resort from early morning until late evening for you and your guests to answer any questions or deal with any issues. They will escort you to any scheduled excursions or events.
All of our staff have a great knowledge of the area, restaurants, clubs, casinos, excursions, athletic facilities, shopping, transportation, culture and general information.
ARE THERE AREA SUPERMARKETS BY THE RESORTS?
Yes; this being a resort city there are numerous large and small shopping centers within walking distance of most resorts.
Also, our staff will make one trip to the area Sam’s Club or Costco and pick up anything requested for any guest and have that available upon their arrival. Common items are cases of bottled water or other beverages, fresh fruits and healthy snacks, sunscreen, yoga mats, etc. Your guests do not have to pre-pay for this service and receipts are provided.
DO I NEED TO CONVERT US DOLLARS TO PESO’S PRIOR TO ARRIVAL?
No, most resorts will do that conversion for you at no charge up to $2,500 USD and most if not all area businesses will accept USDs. Also HSBC and Santander are two of the common banks throughout the city if you happen to have an account with either of them.
WHAT WILL WE DO IF IT HAPPENS TO RAIN DURING OUR STAY?
It really does not rain from early October through the end of June. If it does rain during that time it is usually for a few minutes, from July through September it can rain more often but normally in the later evening or overnight. We always do reserve an indoor space regardless of the time of year for workout sessions and there are many other things to do even if it were to rain.
WHAT IF GUESTS HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY RESTRICTIONS OR REQUESTS?
We will actually speak to each of your guests prior to their arrival to ensure that we are aware of any special dietary or medical needs during their retreat stay. We will coordinate a time to reach out to them through you so that they are not caught off guard.
CAN OUR GUESTS BRING ADDITIONAL FAMILY AND FRIENDS WITH THEM?
This would be up to you; we will charge you our agreed upon per person cost and you can offer whatever you determine to your guests.
IS SECURITY AN ISSUE AT THE RESORTS OR IN THE CITY?
No, Puerto Vallarta is a safe city and no different than travelling anywhere you just have to be aware of your personal belongings and your surroundings. Each guests room will have a room safe and we will always be available to you and your guest on and off the resort property.
IS THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF ROOMS NEEDED TO BE RESERVED TO RECEIVE THE BEST AVAILABLE PRICING?
Yes; 10 is the number to receive the best available rates and also resort discounts at the spa and shops.
In the event you have fewer rooms we can sometimes join your group with another group staying at the same resort on paper for the purpose of obtaining the best available price.

CAN WE CONDUCT A YOGA TEACHER TRAINING COURSE?

Yes; We have worked with several studio owners to facilitate a 19 day 200 Hour Yoga Instructor Training Course by providing all the logistical support needed (lodging, meals, snacks, indoor space, outdoor space, transportation, etc.)
